Homemade Chow Chow Recipe

- 2 lbs cabbage
- 2 lbs green tomatoes
- 1 lb onions
- 1 lb green bell peppers
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tbsp mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp celery seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 3 cloves garlic
Finely chop or shred all vegetables.
In a large pot, combine chopped vegetables with vinegar, sugar, and spices.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 20–25 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Transfer hot mixture into sterilized jars.
Let cool and seal. Store in the refrigerator for up to several weeks.
